Rachel Hollis was a mother to four children along with Dave Hollis and posted on Instagram about her husband’s passing.

Tuesday, she wrote that “We are so distraught.” “I don’t have words, and my heart is broken. “Please wrap your children in prayer as you navigate through the unimaginable.” She wrote.

He had been recently hospitalized after experiencing heart-related issues, Variety reported Monday.

According to his website, Hollis was previously president of sales at The Walt Disney Company’s film studio.

After his wife’s blog and 2018 book, “Girl, Wash Your Face,” gained widespread popularity, he left Disney — after having been there for 17 years — and became CEO of The Hollis Company, which focused on producing media content, books and events.

“I finally said one day, ‘Fine. I don’t trust that. Although I believe there is some snake oil in the personal growth space, it worked for me. I have to at least see what it’s about,'” he told the Associated Press in September of 2018.

The couple also ran self-improvement seminars.

After Rachel Hollis and he filed for divorce in 2020 he continued working as a coach and running a similar company. He has also written books like “Get Out Of Your Own Way: A Skeptic’s Guide to Growth and Fulfillment” and “Built Through Courage. Face Your Fears to Live The Life You Are Meant For.” The latest episode of the podcast’s health-focused interview podcast, was posted February 9.

Hollis, who was a foster parent four times, also established the Dave Hollis Giving Fund. It aims to help foster children, homeless teens, and those in need of food.

He was also a member of Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences’ membership committee. He has served on the boards of Fandango Labs and Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers.

Mel Robbins, a fellow motivational speaker, wrote about Hollis following his death. She said that Chris and she loved Hollis like brothers.

“You made my laugh harder than anyone else I’ve ever seen. We could talk for hours about any topic and to any person. We did. “Everywhere we went, there was laughter,” she wrote.
