Severe Storms Are Possible In Several States With Strong Winds and Tornadoes

A number of states will see severe thunderstorms this week. These storms could bring strong winds and even tornadoes.

According to Storm Prediction Center, “A severe-weather event is likely in parts of the region.”

Storms with severe weather can cause strong tornadoes, wind-damage, and some hail. Meteorologists predict that the storm event will start on Tuesday and continue through the evening and overnight hours.

“A few of these strongest storms will have the potential to produce tornadoes,” AccuWeather Senior meteorologist Dan Pydynowski stated.

The storm prediction centre said that the event is likely to impact Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri as well as Mississippi and will reach large cities such Houston and Nashville.

The severe weather could also affect northern states such as Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

The most severe tornado threat is for the lower Mississippi River Valley.

CNN Weather reported that Bill Bunting (chief of Storm Prediction Center forecast operations) said that the details regarding tornado-prone areas will become more obvious as Tuesday approaches.
